Constance Spalding Anderson photographs of the Brown, Connally, and Spalding families
This collection contains images of the Brown, Connally, and Spalding families and their friends. It primarily features identified portraits of women. Of special note is an image of Rand Peacock (possibly 1835-?), a man who was enslaved by the Connally family. Also included in the collection are signed photographs of actress Emma Abbott (1850-1891).
Elijah Alexander Brown, Sr. papers
The Elijah Alexander Brown, Sr. papers primarily document the operation of Brownwood, the Brown family farm in Gordon County, Georgia. Much of the correspondence is from Elijah's father and mother. A few are letters to Elijah's father and one is to Elijah's brother, George Marion Brown. The legal documents contained in this collection mostly deal with Brownwood, as do the invoices and receipts. Finally, there are Brownwood Farm records and an illustrated storybook.
